When medicines fail

Posted by Titus-Armand On June - 30 - 2007

What is health? Health is a state of well-being and harmony in which your mind, body and soul are tranquil, both independently and as a whole.

What is sickness?

Sickness (any sickness) is just a lie. An sickness doesn’t have life in itself, it’s just the absence of health.

To better understand this concept, imagine that health is a complex ecuation written on a blackboard, and ilness is this ecuation with a few erased factors, and it can’t be understood (and the result, which is health, can’t be reached).

To restore the health state, the equation must be restored.

How to restore the equation?

This is done by medical means (modern oralternative), but it can also be done by spiritual means.

Some plants and medicines simply bring back the missing information, while others completely rewrite it.

Unfortunately, some modern medical means (e.g. surgery) Read the rest of this entry »

Happiness-Project.com turns wrong way

Posted by Titus-Armand On June - 29 - 2007

In my “Iron Hearts” article, I was writing about how today’s society encourages people to stop using their hearts.

“With all this cold technology surrounding us, our conscience isn’t cultivated anymore. […] When something breaks down, we don’t bother too much, we know that it can be fixed; and if it can’t be fixed it ends up being thrown away and nobody cares about that.”

The keyword here is “care”. Now I’m not asking you to break into tears if something breaks down. That would be stupid for me to ask. What I am trying to say here is that there are less and less opportunities for people to use their hearts.

We don’t care if the TV breaks down, we don’t care if a plant dies, we don’t care if the neighbours lose their cat… we only care about a very few things. We’re being selfish.

I’ve stumbled upon a very relevant example that proves my point. Read the rest of this entry »

Improve mood, productivity and health - ergonomics

Posted by Titus-Armand On June - 29 - 2007

Anyone who works long hours in front of a computer knows first-hand the importance of a good, ergonomic chair. Not only that it has a great deal of importance in many aspects of our lives (standing, lifting, sitting, sleeping), but a good comfortable ergonomic chair may also increase productivity and improve mood.

If you’re not comfortable at your desk, it’s because you’re probably sitting wrong and as a result, working wrong.

Whether you’re an online business owner, a gamer, or you just enjoy surfing the net for a lot of time, an ergonomic chair is a must and you shouldn’t spare your budget when looking for one. Don’t buythe cheapest chair if you’re on a tight budget, you wouldn’t want to spend money on something that isn’t giving any results, wait until you have enough money for an excellent chair.

How can an ergonomic chair increase your productivity? The answer is simple. It will remove many posture-related strains that usually appear when using a normal chair and thus relive you of some stress that was affecting your work capacity and quality. It will also relieve tension off your muscles, and your heart will be less solicited. As a result of pressure being taken off your body, your mental power will be enhanced, your mood will be improved, and your work results will get better.

As a definition, an ergonomic chair is a chair that has adjustable features to accommodate your specific needs. You don’t need to adjust for your chair, the chair needs to adjust for you.
As a guideline on what to look for when searching for an ergonomic chair, follow these tips: Read the rest of this entry »

The shortest diet advice ever

Posted by Titus-Armand On June - 28 - 2007

The best answer to the incredibly complicated and confusing question of what we humans should eat in order to be maximally healthy is incredibly short:

Eat food (not food-like substances). Not too much. Mostly plants.

By food I’m referring to whole fresh foods, and by food-like I’m referring to the other edible substances that can be found in the supermarket.

And as a rule, don’t buy any food products that have health claims. That means they’re not really food…

That’s all.

The myth of freedom

Posted by Titus-Armand On June - 28 - 2007

Freedom… a sweet concept. We all want to be free. But what is freedom?
An official definition says that freedom is “the state of being free, of not being imprisoned or enslaved”. My definition is a bit different.

Truly free people should be allowed to rape, loot, pillage, slaughter each other in the streets, shoot bears in national parks, take hostages, or do anything else they may want to do, without restrictions. Even with one restriction, my definition of freedom is destroyed.

Laws are maps that define the boundaries of freedom. Now if we think that America, between the federal and state levels, has enough laws so that one will need a few good years to read them all, I think it’s safe to say that the freedom is so restricted that it just ain’t freedom anymore.

The United States of America - Land of the free and home of the brave. Yeah right.

If you’re being told all your life that you’re free, it’s natural to start believing so. It’s a brainwashing process, and if in this moment you believe that you’re free, I suggest you take a second thought.

The governments were initially created to protect certain fundamental rights (freedom of speech, press, and privacy), but these days they are breaking each and every one of those rights. Read the rest of this entry »
