5 bloggers that I would save from fire
I was thinking… I have learned a lot of things from many bloggers, but what have I done to thank them? E-mails and comments just aren’t enough for the amount of high quality information they’ve thought me (and not only me). So here I am, writing a top 5 list of my favorites. These are bloggers which inspire me for the better, both in my life and work.
A big “Thank you!” to all of them
- Darren Rowse. The father of problogging. I have a lot of respect for Darren. I love what he’s doing for the blogging community, I love his articles (learned a lot from him), and I also love the writing style he has. It’s warm, comfortable and personal. I feel I can easily relate to it. I also love the fact that he’s putting a lot of soul into what he’s doing. I consider him to be my on-line father. Let’s have a big round of applause for Darren!
- Yaro Starak. This may seem a surprising choice, but it’s motivated. He is a relatively new figure in the blogging world, and has grown really fast into a respectable blogger. He’s on my second position because the number one was already reserved for Darren… just joking. Seriously now, he occupies this position in my top because his style is much like Darren’s (warm, personal, comfortable), and also because he’s my blogging mentor (through the Blog Mastermind program). He managed to gain a lot of knowledge about the blogging field over a short period of time. Skilled, talented guy.
- Steve Pavlina. Although I’m not a daily reader of his blog, I’ve read some eye-opening articles there which helped me get better both professionally and personally. He has a lot of experience to share, a lot of knowledge, and he puts both these qualities to everyone’s disposal. I don’t read him daily because I might end up being a too better guy for this solar system… a real danger for me. His writing style is a bit colder than Darren’s and Yaro’s, but it’s very fit for the field he’s writing on.
- Steve Olson. Yeah, there aren’t just moguls in my list, there are also people who are normal. Don’t get me wrong, he has a great blog, great articles, he just doesn’t get the same amount of attention (yet) such as the big guys. I like his writing style, it’s somewhat unconventional for a personal-improvement kind of blog. He uses slang language sometimes, he swears sometimes. But that’s his magic. It’s easier for people to relate to something that’s closer to them. Also, Steve is a guy who writes from deep within his heart and experiences, and it shows. Great guy, a lot to learn from him.
- John Chow. Beware! John has a tremendous amount of energy, and he transfers that energy to his blog. Everytime I read an article there, I get some of that energy too… it’s like taking energizers. He also is very spontaneous, very natural, and I really like that. The problem with his blog is that it’s somehow addictive… don’t start reading it if you have addiction issues. John is a marketing god, he could sell Mercedes cars to the Pontiac directors. There’s a lot to learn from him.
There are a lot of many other great bloggers out there, but these ones are the best for me.
Each of them has a quality that places them above the rest.
They have thought me lots of great things, and they still are.
