Great motivational videos | Day 10

Posted by Titus-Armand On September - 1 - 2007View Comments

Today is the last day of the Great Motivational Videos series and as a result I want it to be a bit more reflective, I want it to make you think deeply about life.

The video isn’t a speech by some great personality, it isn’t a seminar, it isn’t a workshop, it is a simple video slideshow with gorgeous images, beautiful music and inspiring quotes. And because you and me think visually – by painting pictures in our mind, this video will prove to be much more uplifting than watching any seminar or speech!

Some of the quotes in the slideshow in it are written with very small fonts so I’ll write them here for you.

Great motivational videos | Day 9

Here, near the end of the “Great motivational videos” series I want to present you a short video from Jack Canfield.

For those of you who don’t know him, he’s the author of “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, which is a bestseller with over 100 million copies sold (after being rejected by over 144 publishers).

Jack is a teacher, facilitator and psychotherapist and he is uniquely qualified to coach you on success because he devoted more than 30 years to uncovering universal principles for achieving extraordinary outcomes.

There are a number of other free motivational videos by Jack that I’ve found on the YouTube site. Create your attitude, plan your day and don’t be afraid to ask for what you want are some of them. Read the rest of this post »

The wolves inside

An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. This is what he said to them:

“A fight is going on inside me… it is a terrible fight between two wolves.

One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you and every other person, too.”

They thought about this for a minute, and then one child asked his grandfather:

“Which wolf will win?”

The old Cherokee simply replied:

“The one you feed.”

What a simple and yet powerful story this is! It represents an essential aspect of life that many people fail to understand.

Our lives are shaped by the wolf which we choose to feed.

The wolves represent our thoughts. The wolf that stands for joy, peace, love, hope and the rest of the other qualities is the good wolf, and it represents the positive thoughts that we have.

The other wolf, the one that represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret and greed, is that bad wolf and it stands for our negative thoughts.

Albert Einstein once said that the most important decision you can ever make in life is to decide whether you live in a friendly or a hostile universe. You have to decide which wolf you’re gonna feed.

The wolf that you’re gonna feed will dictate the way your life will be. If you choose to believe that this universe is hostile and thus feed the bad wolf, that’s exactly how your life will be. Bad, hostile.

If you choose to feed the good wolf and see the universe as a friendly place that wants you to be happy, your whole life will be like that. Full of well-being and happiness.

There is so much that could be written about this but I believe in the “less is more” concept. Also, I had plenty of time to write a short post in which to summarize the important ideas of a long one.

As a conclusion, here’s a quote from one of the greatest thinkers and inspirational personalities of our time.

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.” – Earl Nightingale

Great motivational videos | Day 8

Today’s video is a speech by Dr. Joe Vitale, star of the movie “The Secret” and author of “The Attractor Factor”, teaching The Mindset of Success at Pat O’Bryan’s UnSeminar2.

In this short video (ten minutes) Joe talks about the importance of focusing on your end-result goal rather than focusing on the steps that might – eventually – take you there. He makes some clear points that will definitely help each of you in achieving your dreams. Read the rest of this post »

Great motivational videos | Day 7

I’ve been happy to have stumbled upon a great video on UK’s regional YouTube.

Authors Marci Alboher and Tim Ferriss discuss their books, “One Person/Multiple Careers: A New Model for Work/Life Success” and “The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich,” as part of the Authors@Google series. The event took place on May 4, 2007, at Google’s Mountain View, CA, headquarters.

It’s an uplifting and inspiring video that contains some very useful ideas, so pay close attention to what they are saying. Read the rest of this post »
